Factory Acceptance Testing
CFW conducts product acceptance testing in collaboration with our customers or a customer proxy to validate the product, ensuring that it fulfils the specified requirements and that the customer has been informed about all relevant characteristics of the product.
Factory acceptance testing is a key part of the development process for custom products and is an aspect of quality control. It is intended to confirm that the supplier has adhered to the necessary regulations and specifications for the product. The terminology differs in different contexts; “Product Acceptance Test (PAT)” is often found.
Apart from inspection, test runs may be performed for each system component. The tests are conducted in a manner which reflects the true production environment as much as possible, simulating the situations in which the equipment is likely to be used.
Since the equipment’s life cycle cost is largely determined before installation, factory and site acceptance testing are important for determining that the product actually received can fulfill the needs of the plant. If such testing is not done, maintenance and operating costs can lead to greatly increased lifecycle costs. The utmost diligence and patience is called for in assessing all relevant details of the performance of the product.
CFW Projects is committed to ensuring high standards of quality for every product we supply. We value our reputation as a company that provides reliable products and we are always improving our quality control processes.
