Linear Indexing Dryers and Calciners
This range for high-speed fully automated lines can handle a wide variety of autocatalyst substrate sizes and shapes. The equipment is very compact, being almost half the size of the equivalent belt type.
CFW’s linear indexing system is easy to operate, highly energy-efficient and carries low maintenance costs. The system allows for full parts traceability and makes automation easier by permitting very accurate product transfer at the input and output locations.
Linear transfer systems are commonly used where a deep vertical range of manufacture is required. Processing stations are arranged in series to form a chain which can be extended and shortened as required. Stations can also be inserted, removed or interchanged. In linear indexing systems, an indexed conveyor belt is used in which the belt moves a specific distance and then stops. Linear indexing technology offers superior productivity compared to rotary and other equipment. The parts can also be positioned precisely.
To integrate the linear indexing system completely into the production line, loading and unloading can be automated, using robots, for example, to maximise production rates.
