With twenty years of experience in supplying drying solutions for the fish industry, CFW offers many types of dryers. Instead of adhering to one technology, we take customer requirements and ambient weather conditions of the fish production facility into account to select the optimal solution.

The main market that we service consists of large-scale commercial dried fish producers where the minimum drying capacity is 1 tonne per drying system. We have also exported fish-drying systems to Angola.

This wide range of options allows us to offer dryers that are maximally cost-effective in low temperature and low relative humidity conditions, as well as at higher temperatures as required by the customer.

We also offer advice on improving existing fish drying systems together with upgrading / repairs and changing to new energy sources.

CFW does the design and manufacture together with the electrical systems and controls in-house so that we can take full responsibility for the system that we install. We fabricate the associated trolleys, trays and other ancillary equipment if required.

A typical containerized system for drying horse-mackerel that has been headed and gutted and placed in butterfly arrangement on trays has the capacity to dry 2.5 tonnes of wet product to 1.7 tonnes dry product in 72 hours.

Care is taken to avoid case hardening and ensure uniform drying for a quality dried product.
